The Story: This is probably the most famous of all Chinese Oolong teas. And we're the only online store in Australia offer so many Grades of Tie Guan Yin Tea. The name Tie Guan Yin means "Iron Goddess of Mercy" and the tea is as magnificent as its name implies. There are many legends surrounding the origin of its name and one of it tells the story of a kind-hearted but poor farmer named Wei Yin in An Xi County, Fujian Province. Despite working hard every day to make a living, Wei Yin would spend his free time tending an abandoned Guan Yin (Goddess of Mercy) temple he found near his place. One day, he fell asleep in the temple and dreamed about the Goddess telling him to look for a cave behind the temple. There, he found a single tea shoot where he took home and planted it in an iron pot. Slowly, it grew into a tea bush with exceptional quality tea leaves. Wei then gave cuttings to his neighbors and friends to grow. The County soon prospered due to the popularity of the tea. Tie Guan Yin can now be found in the menu of most Chinese restaurants throughout the world.
Taste: This tea has a very sweet, appetizing honey-life fragrance, taste and finishing. The sweet aftertaste will linger on in your mouth after a few sips. Good for multiple infusions.
Appearance: Curled jade green leaves. The infusion is yellowish in color.
How to brew Tie Guan Yin Oolong Tea:
Warm the teapot or cup with fresh boiled water (use Spring Water for brewing tea will be best).
Then add tea leaves (3 - 8gms depend on personal preference of strength of the tea) together best with around 90 - 100°C degree boiled water.
Rinse the tea leaves for 1 to 2 seconds and dispose the water.
Add fresh boiled water, wait 40 seconds for the first brew, and allow an additional 5 to 10 seconds the following brews according to personal preference.
Then the tea is ready to be served!

Repeat Infusions: Tea leaves can be used at least 5 times.
Suggested Usage: The taste is alluring with a fresh orchid aroma, a bold fruity flavor and a sweet, lingering finish. While Tie Guan Yin can be simply brewed in any teapot, we recommend the gongfu method using lots of leaf, multiple infusions and brief steeping times to bring out its full characteristics.
Jasmine Green Tea Main benefit: Against halitosis, good for eyes and liver system. Jasmine Green Tea has been proven to replenish the system with health-enhancing antioxidants called catechins and antigens which reduce inflammatory conditions. The aroma of jasmine tea has a relaxing effect; therefore, it is excellent for relieving stress or anxiety. The tea inhibits the growth of bacteria, which results in a healthier immune system and the elimination of such conditions as allergies. The catechins in the jasmine tea are known to prevent such diseases as cancer and heart disease. The tea aids in lowering cholesterol and triglyceride levels. Also it prevents free radicals from forming, which accelerate the aging process, making us look older and feel older than our actual age suggests. So we can stay younger for longer.
The Story:
We currently offer three type of most popular Jasmine Teas - Dragon Pearl Jasmine Green Tea (Buddha's Tears), Spiral (BiLo) Jasmine Green Tea & Fu Zhou Original Jasmine Green Tea.
Taste & Appearance: Spiral (Bilo) Jasmine Green Tea is a scented tea made with choice high-grown tea of Northern Fujian Province from its early spring corp,
which is scented in a multiple process with jasmine.
This exceptional tea consists of the youngest green tea leaves scented 8 - 10 times with fresh jasmine blossoms.
After the lengthy flavoring process, the leaves are hand-rolled into the shape of a spiral shell.
The result of this painstaking process is a product displaying robust white-tipped leaves curling like spiral shells,
with an aroma so rich and refreshing and a taste so delightful and mellow that it leaves an aftertaste that is pleasant and long lasting.
During the infusion, the spiral shells unfold, slowly releasing the rich and surprisingly smooth fragrance and flavor of jasmine flowers.
Fu Zhou Original Jasmine Green Tea is made from green tea leaves and fresh jasmine petals, when brewed, it produces deep yellow colour,
fruity taste, and aroma of tropical flowers. Tightly rolled tender silver buds and leaves with some jasmine petals.
Refreshingly sweet and delicate tea with a distinct fresh Jasmine fragrance and taste.
The strong flowery aroma of this tea is very soothing.
